CAREER PROSPECTS & COACH TRAINING
After completing the highest level (“Hot Stepper”), certified coach training is possible. It includes:
* Approx. 70 Dancehall Basic Steps (Old / Middle / New School)
* Bodywork, musicality & rhythm training
* Teaching didactics, step structuring & timing
* Dancehall history & cultural responsibility
* Developing your own warm-ups & class structures
Led by experienced international coaches such as Jiggy, Marthe Vangeel, Global Bob, Felix Feline and many more.

1. RIDDIM RIDER – groove, bounce and first foundation steps
2. ZAGA MOVER – musicality, step combinations & style changes
3. MAD FLEXER – body tension, isolation & creativity
4. SHOTTA BOUNCER – New School Vibes, Power & Stage Presence
5. HOT STEPPER – Teaching elements, performance level & responsibility
After each successfully passed exam, the dancers receive an official certificate and an individual dancehall dogtag.
FAQ - FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT STARMOVES DANCEHALL COLLEGE
Starmoves College is suitable for children and young people from the age of 4 right through to adulthood. Thanks to our 4-league system (Minis, Kids, Juniors, Masters), everyone can find the right level – whether beginner or advanced dancer.
The dancers learn the most important basics of hip-hop step by step – from the first groove moves to more complex techniques. Each level builds on the previous one, and after passing the exam, participants receive an official certificate and a medal.
No! Starmoves College is designed so that both beginners and experienced dancers can take part. Our coaches teach the basics of hip-hop from the ground up and help you to develop a feeling for music, movement and expression.
The exams take place approximately every 4 months. The exact dates are organized by the dance schools. Please contact your dance school or your Starmoves College coach directly to find out the next exam date.
Starmoves College is the only dance badge system specifically for hip-hop. The focus here is not on finished choreographies, but on learning the most important hip-hop basics – from groove elements to social dance moves. Our international coaches ensure that the dancers learn authentic skills and develop step by step.
